Reciting and memorising the Qur’an holds immense virtues for both learners and their parents. It strengthens the spiritual connection to Allah, instils discipline, and fosters a deep understanding of Islamic teachings. The act of memorisation sharpens the mind and enhances cognitive abilities, while recitation promotes tranquillity and mindfulness. For parents, encouraging their children in this noble endeavour brings blessings and rewards in this life and the hereafter. It also creates a bond of shared faith and values within the family, guiding them toward leading righteous lives.

Al-Qur’an, Muzammil:4
"The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur’an and teaches it."
Narrated by 'Uthman RA, Sahih al-Bukhari 5027
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah RA said:
“The Messenger of Allah SAW said: ‘The Qur’an will come on the Day of Resurrection like a pale man saying to its companion, “Do you recognise me? I am the one who made you stay up at night and made you thirsty during the day…” Then he will be given dominion in his right hand and eternity in his left, and a crown of dignity will be placed upon his head, and his parents will be clothed with garments which far exceed everything to be found in this world. They will say, “O Lord, how did we earn this.” It will be said to them, “Because you taught your child the Qur’an.”’”
It was narrated from ‘Aa’ishah RA that the Prophet SAW said:
“The one who recites the Qur’an and learns it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven) and the one who exerts himself to learn the Qur’an by heart and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward.”
