QUR'AN RECITATION & Hifz al-qur'an

We offer four Qur’an courses from absolute beginners to advanced learners for all age groups:

  • Beginner learners start from learning the Arabic letters from the points of articulation and progress through the Qa'ida with application of Tajweed.
  • Intermediate learners recite Juz 'Amma, improve Qur'an recitation and memorise Juzz 'Amma.
  • Advanced learners memorise key parts of the Qur'an and continue with full hifz al-Qur'an.
  • Adult learners improve Qur'an recitation with application of Tajweed rules.
  • Islamic studies covering essential fiqh, etiquettes and key Islam values is embedded in all courses.

STUDENT'S DEVICE REQUIREMENTS

ONLINE TEACHING & learning

  • Sessions are delivered via Google Meet and fully administered, supervised and managed by the teachers.
  • Each teacher has at most 5 students to ensure high quality teaching and learning.
  • Sessions are delivered in two 1 hour slots with 10 minutes break. Each session is timetabled with a different teacher.
  • Although we have base line targets, all individual learning targets are discussed and negotiated with the learners'.
  • Students are required to have their own or a parent's email, which is used to register students and send invitations.

    The following provides a brief synopsis of the main teachers (ustadhs) for the Hifz and Qur'an recitation course:
  • Hafiz Shah Ali Faez (Ustadh Faez):
    Qualified Hafiz endorsed by Darul Uloom Leicester. Led Taraweeh salaah in Romford Masjid (HICC) in Ramadhan 2018 and occasionally leads salaah in the Masjid.
  • Review Ustadh Faez's Hifz Certificate
  • Hafiza Saima Rahman (Ustadh Saima):
    Qualified Hafiza endorsed by Ustadh Shah Sher Ali. A former hifz student of Edullect Academy. Graduated with distinction and Ijaza in Hifz al-Qur'an in July 2020.
  • Shah Sher Ali (Ustadh Shah):
    Has Ijaza in Tilawatul Qur'an (Hafs 'an 'Asim) (obtained from Qari Mohammed Saleem Al-Awwal who has Ijaza in 7 forms of Qira-at and studied at Madina University and in the Masjid an-Nabawi), Studied Islamic sciences with various Sheikhs: Aqeedah (At-Tahawiyyah), Fiqh (Hanafi) and general Usul al-Fiqh, Usul al-Hadith, Usul al-Tafseer al-Qur'an and completed several Seerah compilations. Is a senior manager in an FE college and a qualified teacher.

course ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • The minimum age for our courses is 8 years and be able to independently operate a mobile device for online sessions.
  • Intermediate Qur'an: Must have completed Qa'idah and be able to recite short surah's from Juz 'Amma.
  • Advanced & Hifz al-Qur'an: Must be at least 9 years of age and be able to recite Qur'an with Tajweed independently without supervision.

  • Edullect Academy aims to provide education which is accessible and affordable. Course fees are decided based on these principles. Please make sure that you are able to fund the full duration of your course before joining.
